What you will be doing

Job Summary:
The successful candidate for this position will be accountable for health, safety, housekeeping, and environmental compliance. They will follow the Extrusion Business Systems (EBS) Principles, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and proactively solve customer complaints. This role ensures that products meet specified standards throughout the entire mill and plays a crucial role in maintaining product quality and consistency. The successful candidate assists with maintaining inspection tools by verifying the accuracy of measuring equipment to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards. This role will interface with and program various quality systems within Cressona.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Quality Inspection: Regularly inspect extruded products to ensure they meet specifications using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring devices (CMM, Ascona, DataMyte).

2. Troubleshooting: Identify and communicate process issues with production teams to ensure timely resolution of quality concerns.

3. Documentation: Record inspection results, report non-conformances, and maintain quality documentation for traceability. Assist with PPAPs to meet customer requirements as directed. Disposition NCRs for items produced on the assigned shift.

4. Process Monitoring: Monitor the extrusion process to identify any deviations from standard procedures or specifications.

5. Compliance: Ensure adherence to company and industry quality standards, including ISO, IATF, and other relevant certifications.

6. Continuous Improvement: Participate in and lead quality improvement initiatives to reduce UPS and optimize processes throughout the plant. This includes Extrusion, Fab, PLS, and other operational areas. Identify opportunities for process improvement, support corrective actions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

7. Tool Calibration: Ensure all tools and instruments meet specified tolerances and standards. This involves adjusting, testing, and validating equipment to meet required precision levels.

1. • Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure long-term reliability.
   • Record calibration data, results, and certifications to maintain compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
   • Track tool inventory, schedule calibration activities, and manage calibration intervals.

• High School Diploma. ( required)
• Technical Knowledge of extrusion processes, materials, and quality testing methods.
• Attention to Detail for spotting defects, irregularities, or non-conformance with standards.
• Problem-Solving Skills to quickly identify and rectify quality issues.
• Da ta Analysis Skills to interpret quality control data and make informed decisions.
• Knowledge of Quality Standards, ISO, IATF, or other customer-specific standards. Familiarity with measurement tools, calibration procedures, and industry standards (such as ISO/IEC 17025)
