Vitalant is one of the nation’s largest nonprofit blood and biotherapies healthcare organizations, providing hospitals and patients across the U.S. with a safe blood supply, specialized laboratory services, transfusion medicine expertise, and world-renowned patient care. We are committed to advancing the health and quality of life for individuals with bleeding disorders, and we are seeking a dedicated RN II Clinical professional to join our Hemophilia Center of Western PA team.
We are looking for an experienced RN II Clinical to provide compassionate, specialized nursing care in a comprehensive healthcare setting. This role is responsible for seeing patients in the Hemophilia clinic, performing phlebotomy, assisting with patient education, and supporting outreach clinics several times a year. This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact in the lives of patients and their families.
What to Expect:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 5 days in-person at our clinic located in the Oakland neighborhood ( Free Parking on-site!)Starting Pay: $75k - $90k based on experience
As an RN II Clinical on our team, you will get to:
Provide direct patient care in the Hemophilia clinic, including assessments, education, and follow-up.
Perform venipuncture/phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens as needed.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Assist with outreach clinics several times per year, providing care and education to patients in community settings.
Support patient and family education regarding bleeding disorders, treatment regimens, and self-care.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinic operations.
Ensure compliance with all applicable clinical protocols, safety standards, and best practices.
