GENERAL OVERVIEW:
This job is an integral part of the care delivery system working together to provide a healing environment, by placing our customers first. The incumbent provides primary healthcare services for non-acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization within the CRNP scope of practice. Work is performed in a physician office or offices dedicated to Pediatrics, weekend, and on-call coverage on a rotational basis, as required.
This role will cover during after hour clinic, primarily evening hours.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides appropriate pediatric patient care to include recording patient medical history and physical assessment, developing therapeutic care plan, ordering lab and diagnostic tests, interpreting test results, and providing accurate medical record documentation. Establishes presumptive diagnosis as defined in the written agreement between the CRNP and the supervising physician(s). (25%)

Communicates and coordinates patient care with patient, family, community health services and interdisciplinary team. Involves attending physician regarding plan of care and involves physician in clinical decision making of any issues that are outside the CRNP knowledge base or scope of practice. (15%)

Provides monitoring and continuity of care and coordinates periodic evaluation by physicians as defined in the written agreement between the CRNP and the supervising physician(s).(10%)

Prepares written prescription orders for drugs as defined in the written agreement between the CRNP and the supervising physician(s).(10%)

Educates patients and family members regarding health and illness prevention, medication and treatment instructions, and recommends community resources as needed. Serves as clinical expert and acts as a clinical resource.(10%)

Triages pediatric patient telephone calls, provides monitoring and continuity of care.(10%)

Participates in, develops, and implements performance and/or quality improvement initiatives. Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies.(10%)

Perform other duties such as manage outpatient concerns and any other duty specific to specialty.(10%)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required

Master's degree MSN from the practicing State Board of Nursing Approved Master's Program
-
National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), National Certification Corporation (NCC), or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)

Practicing-state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner

Prescriptive Authority from the practicing state within 60 days of hire

CPR- American Heart Association

PALS certification

Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
