We are hiring team members for several locations in the Pottstown/Phoenixville area. Team members will be acting as cashiers, managing all customer transactions with efficiency and a smile. Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to customer service, daily chores, and restocking. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service and/or retail position and some knowledge of cash registers and POS systems (we use Square). Open availability is strongly preferred. Priority interviews will be given to applicants with experience that relates to our industry. We have a small team and we enjoy a friendly and cooperative work environment; employees who wish to remain with us long-term will come to work prepared to be friendly and cooperative. You must have a working phone and reliable means of transportation. We aim to be the best in the area at doing what we do, and we hope that if you join our team, you agree.
Responsibilities
•Manage transactions with customers, including accepting different payment methods, issuing receipts and handling refunds/exchanges where warranted, and redeeming loyalty rewards and coupons.
•Cross-sell/upsell products and introduce new ones
•Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
•Greet customers when they enter the store and bid farewell when they leave
•Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
•Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
•Bag, box, or wrap packages
•Restocking and unpacking new stock
Skills
•Work experience as a retail cashier or a similar role in sales
•Basic PC/smartphone knowledge
•Familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g., cash register and POS)
•Good math skills
•Strong communication and time management skills
•Excellence-oriented mindset
•High school diploma/GED or above
