As a Transportation Engineer at Gilmore and Associates, expect to create and review engineering designs, ensuring compliance with local standards and regulations. Daily tasks will include preparing technical reports and presentations for stakeholders, as well as participating in project meetings to discuss progress and concerns. You'll also engage in problem-solving discussions, applying innovative strategies to enhance transportation efficiency.

Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring project timelines and budgets, ensuring that deliverables meet quality expectations. This role promises a hands-on experience where fresh ideas are welcomed, and every day presents a new chance to contribute to pivotal engineering solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering college or university
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required. PE license is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in Transportation and/or Traffic Engineering field
• Experience in highway design
• Experience in traffic impact studies
• Experience in ADA curb ramp design
• Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory and permitting requirements
• Experience in PennDOT ePermitting for Highway Occupancy Permitting process
• Previous experience in assisting on working with municipalities, public and/or private sector design projects
• Software experience includes: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Synchro, and HCM
• Possess experience with Microsoft Suite and AutoCAD (preferably Civil 3D)
