• Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Locum Tenens
• Location: York, Pennsylvania 17403 (York healthcare jobs)
• Employment Type: Travel nursing contract (locum tenens)
• Facility: Level I Trauma Center, 18 OR rooms, 593 beds
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• End Date: January 5, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (07:00 – 19:30, 36 hours/week)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1830-$1880
• Call Requirements: 4-5 calls per 6-week matrix (30-minute callback)
• Weekend & Holiday Coverage: 4-5 weekend shifts/6 weeks; 2 of 3 major holidays (day, evening, or night)
• Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (no license hits; Pennsylvania nursing license preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Level I Trauma Center experience required; at least 1 year Level II trauma experience accepted
• Previous travel nursing or locum tenens experience required
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Proficiency with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System required; DV5 Da Vinci robot experience a plus
• Ability to scrub and circulate in all specialties: Robotics, Orthopedics, General, GYN, Urology, Bariatrics, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Thoracic, Trauma (excluding cardiac/open heart)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver perioperative nursing care for diverse patient populations in a general operating room setting
• Scrub and circulate during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency
• Respond to trauma cases and function independently in high-acuity situations
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely 30-minute callback response
• Float to other units as needed to support clinical operations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, etc.)
• Maintain compliance with infection control, universal safety, and facility protocols
• Complete required onboarding modules prior to start (billable, 5-6 hours)
