ER RN Travel Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (ER RN)
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department, Level II Trauma Center
• Location: Du Bois, PA 15801 (Central Pennsylvania healthcare jobs)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: Rotating 12-hour shifts (07:00–19:30, 11:00–23:30, 19:00–07:30); every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910–$1960
• Charting System: Cerner
• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Unit Details: 35 rooms, daily census of 30, average 78 ER visits per day
• Interdisciplinary Support: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania or compact state RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (ER RN jobs)
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS (TNCC preferred)
• Ability to complete PA fingerprinting and Childline process promptly upon contract signing
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform triage, assessment, and management of acute and emergent conditions, including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and behavioral health emergencies
• Administer emergency medications, blood products, and manage advanced airway and IV therapies
• Document patient care using Cerner electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in rotating shifts and every other weekend coverage as required
• Maintain compliance with all credentialing, fingerprinting, and Childline requirements for Pennsylvania nursing jobs
