Job Summary
This is a full time position designed to supervise and support the Peer Coordinators, Court Appointed Special Advocates and the administrative clerk. This position involves recruiting, screening and training potential volunteers, along with retaining current advocates.

Responsibilities
- Must adhere to Court and/or County policies and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point and Microsoft Outlook to create multiple types of documents, forms and reports.
- Flexibility to conform to varied work and travel schedule.
- Committed, conscientious and detail oriented.
- Strong communication skills, both orally and written.
- Oversee the screening process for potential volunteers, including interviews.
- Coordinate the training of potential volunteers, including preparing and conducting training.
- Monitor dependency cases to assess the priority.
- Assign advocates to cases.
- Supervise and support a number of advocates and peer coordinators based on National CASA standards.
- Create ways to recognize and appreciate advocates.
- Oversee on-going training to advocates.
- Work with the CASA Coordinator to develop and implement recruitment strategies based on program needs, including information sessions and on-line recruitment.
- Work with the CASA Coordinator to create and modify new outreach materials as needed.
- Work with the CASA Coordinator to develop and modify the strategic plan to ensure the requirements of the Family Bench and National CASA are addressed.
- Maintain relationships with community professionals/partners.
- Assist in assessing and updating policies and procedures.
- Support the office as needed.
- All other duties deemed necessary.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and one year direct work-related experience, three years or more preferred.
- Clear background checks, including Criminal History, Childline and FBI Fingerprint clearances.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills.
- Demonstrated ability to screen, train and supervise advocates.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and problem solving.
- Ability to interact with the public, other professionals and co-workers, in a respectful, effective and responsible manner.
