Assistant production manager

We are looking to add to our Production Management team a candidate with experience in managing in a manufacturing setting. This person should possess qualities such as great communication skills, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and oversee multiple production floor operations.

What You’ll Do, Primary Responsibilities:

· Supervise, monitor, support and provide guidance to production staff (supervisors, floor leads, associates, etc.).

· Determine workforce requirements for the day, tomorrow, and into the future.

· Oversee, plan, and organize production and shipping schedules for multiple shifts.

· Evaluate machine and material resources to ensure continued production and minimize downtime.

· Assist in developing workflow policies to improve workflow to meet specifications and deadlines by setting productivity goals that do not compromise safety or quality.

· Establish a balance between increasing productivity and reducing costs of manufacturing operations.

· Request and approve maintenance work and the purchasing of equipment.

· Ensure production output meets all quality standards.

· Understand and enforce quality standards and health and safety protocols.

· Understand and assist in reporting key production measurables and metrics.

· All and any actions are taken with respect to Amatech’s core values.

Required Skills:

· Being a leader of the production team which includes working closely with Management, Production Supervisors, Floor Leads, and Associates.

· Proven experience in Production management to monitor production to resolve issues.

· Have good communication, ambition, and willingness to work with others to create solutions to any challenges that may arise and the ability to make strong decisions.

· Proficient in MS Office and ERP software to help support the production process.

· On-site work required in Erie, PA.

· Experience with CNC machines a plus.
