Location: Marquis Restaurant at The Union League of Philadelphia, Liberty Hill

Department: Food & Beverage- A La Carte

Reports To: Dining Room Manager(s)

Status: Part-Time

Schedule: Evenings (Tuesday-Saturday), including weekends and mandatory holidays

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, professional server to join our team at Marquis. The ideal candidate is personable, knowledgeable, and dedicated to providing an exceptional dining experience. As a server, you will be responsible for guiding guests through the menu, delivering attentive service, and ensuring every detail of the dining experience reflects the high standards of The Union League.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide gracious, knowledgeable, and efficient service in alignment with Marquis and Union League standards.

· Greeting guests promptly and warmly, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.

· Present menus, answer questions about food and beverages, and make knowledgeable recommendations.

· Take accurate orders and coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service.

· Serve food and beverages in a polished and attentive manner.

· Monitor guest satisfaction and anticipate needs throughout the dining experience.

· Maintain cleanliness and order of tables, service stations, and dining room.

· Uphold all safety and sanitation standards.

· Support teammates and assist with side work, setup, and closing duties as needed.

Qualifications:

· Previous experience as a server in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting preferred.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service.

· Professional appearance and demeanor.

· Ability to remain composed and attentive in a fast-paced environment.

· Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

· Must be at least 18 years of age.

Compensation: Will receive hourly rate, in addition to share of the service charge pool by night.
