Job Summary

A successful campus Janitor is responsible for the cleanliness, upkeep, and presentation of the campus facilities. The successful candidate will effectively maintain the facility, help to create a positive environment, and have a strong customer service focus, both for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all janitorial needs

• Cleaning

• Restocking of supplies

• Manage supply use and identify the need for/submit orders as required

• Take on or assist with projects as needed at the direction of the Executive Director

• Communicate effectively in both oral and written form

• Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships

• Perform preventative maintenance

• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.

Experience and Education Required

• Working knowledge of the janitorial trade

• Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of the job, including heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.

Experience and Education Preferred

• High School Diploma or GED

• 5 years of varied janitorial experience
