Job Description: As a Mechanical Insulation Take-Offs and Estimating Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of take-offs and estimates for mechanical insulation projects. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn and grow in the field of mechanical insulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of take-offs for mechanical insulation projects.
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine insulation requirements.
- Calculate material quantities and costs for insulation projects.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to develop accurate project estimates.
- Maintain detailed records of take-offs and estimates.
- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing information.
- Support the project management team in planning and scheduling insulation work.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or coursework in mechanical insulation is a plus.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret project specifications and drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Previous experience in mechanical insulation or construction is a plus but not required.
