Part-Time Temporary SUMMER 2025 Purchasing Administrative Support
This position is expected to last for 3 months, from June to August 2025. This part-time temporary role is ideal for college students pursuing a degree in Business or Finance who are looking for a summer opportunity that will provide valuable career experience. About Little League International Located in South Williamsport, PA, Little League International serves as the administrative and operational headquarters for Little League Baseball and Softball. With over 75 years of history, we are the leading nonprofit youth sports organization supporting youth baseball and softball. Little League® is played in approximately 6,500 communities across more than 80 countries worldwide. We believe in the power of youth baseball and softball to teach life lessons that foster stronger individuals and communities. Key Responsibilities The Purchasing Administrative Support will be responsible for various tasks including:- Performing administrative duties as assigned.
- Assisting with data entry into multiple tracking spreadsheets.
- Reviewing invoices and updating the purchasing system to address discrepancies or input landed costs.
- Monitoring the requisitions email inbox.
- Managing office supply needs for several departments.
- Filing completed purchase order documentation.
- Processing purchase requisitions.
- Acting as a purchasing receiver of products.
- Tracking fulfillment of all purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods/services at correct pricing/quantities while maintaining quality standards.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential.
- A willingness to learn new software applications is necessary.
- An ability to work with dual computer systems is preferred.
- A strong attention to detail is crucial.
- Excellent organizational skills are required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- The ability to work well both independently and collaboratively with various departments is important.
- A solid understanding of purchasing concepts is needed.
- Strong analytical skills are necessary for success in this role.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is required.
- Excellent math skills.
- A process-oriented mindset with a willingness to take on diverse tasks is beneficial.
- Candidates must reside within commuting distance of Williamsport, PA 17701.
- An Associate degree or higher is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in a purchasing/finance role or relevant education may substitute for experience.
- A detailed knowledge of purchasing concepts remains advantageous.
