SAP Transportation Management (TM) Functional Consultant

Location: 100% Remote with Travel (Candidates within 2–3 hours of worksite are a plus)

Travel: 25–50%

Description:

Join TEKsystems in support of a defense client as an SAP Transportation Management (TM) Functional Consultant. In this role, you’ll leverage your SAP expertise to deliver innovative transportation solutions that drive mission success. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, configure TM modules, and ensure seamless integration with other SAP components—all while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead SAP TM implementations, including configuration for transportation planning, freight order management, carrier selection, and tendering.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Customize SAP TM for client-specific needs such as transportation zones, carrier profiles, rates, and optimization rules.
• Conduct functional testing, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system integrity.
• Develop user documentation and deliver training sessions for end-users.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and technical teams to integrate SAP TM with ECC/S4HANA.
• Stay current on SAP TM enhancements and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of hands-on SAP TM functional experience, including configuration.
• Past experience in logistics, distribution, MIS, or IT.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be eligible for U.S. Public Trust clearance and willing to travel 25–50%.

Preferred:

• Experience with SAP Activate or ASAP methodology.
• Knowledge of transportation management concepts and logistics processes.

This is a Contract position based out of New Cumberland, PA.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $95.00/hr.
