Senior Software Engineer, Corporate Finance (Philadelphia, PA)
Plan and design complex development projects, working with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met while staying in budget, mentoring and managing the work of the onshore and offshore teams, and developing the roadmap for our future platform. Aligned to Corporate Finance track, which focuses on the end-to-end journey for multiple business teams in the Corporate Finance domain, as well as enhancing new features and capability on the respective enterprise platform and integration middleware. Additional responsibilities include: collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and report on vendor performance metrics, ensuring consistent service quality and alignment with organizational objectives; facilitating routine communications between the organization and vendors, acting as a primary point of contact to ensure seamless collaboration and timely resolution of inquiries; developing the roadmap for the future platform; contributing to the development of the IT engineering strategy and the strategy for software development methods, configurations, tools, and techniques; overseeing, coordinating, and/or supporting technical work required with other Five Below IT teams, including infrastructure (e.g., network, DevOps), and upstream and downstream system owners (warehouse management systems, order management systems, InfoSec, etc.); developing code, scripts, and designs per business requirements when needed; conducting and leading design, code and configuration reviews; participating in Agile rituals e.g., daily standups, iteration planning, story huddles, retrospectives, creating burn up charts' inceptions, documenting technical work in technical stories using JIRA board, and estimating (using agile points/story sizing techniques) the work effort required to complete those stories; designing complex software applications, components, and modules using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed software design standards, guidelines, patterns and methodology; providing technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to onshore and offshore team members; collaborating with product and system teams to ensure thorough test coverage and identifying areas for process enhancement; analyzing and reporting on test outcomes, including results, challenges, and risks, even when reviewing others' work; creating multiple design views to address the concerns of the different stakeholders and to handle functional and non-functional requirements; leading the design and refinement of complex software configurations for deployment, collaborating on method and tool selection, ensuring adherence to standards for quality outcomes, and actively engaging in both self-review and peer-review processes; collaborating closely with the operations team to conduct root cause analysis on intricate challenges, ensuring a thorough understanding and resolution; and, assessing and analyzing release components for input to release scheduling and ensuring proper change control is documented and followed. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of software engineering experience (or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of software engineering experience). Must have experience with: Must have experience with: Agile; CI/CD; TDD; Pairing; Automated Testing; technical experience in Oracle EBS Financials (including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Procurement modules); Oracle Fusion Middleware; Oracle Fusion API's and integrations; Oracle database management systems, including Oracle SQL and PL/SQL; Integration of data and process into and out of Oracle ERP Cloud using Databricks; script development with Python, Databricks, and Pyspark; building RESTful APIs; demonstrated understanding of Oracle AWR reports and SQL finetuning; and, Enterprise Schedulers.
