Dauphin County Technical School invites applications for the position of Special Education Teacher . This full-time role is responsible for providing specially designed instruction to students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with IEPs, and supporting student success through inclusive and individualized strategies. The successful candidate will be collaborative, organized, and committed to meeting the academic, social, and emotional needs of all learners.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I Certificate in Special Education
• Experience working with students with ADD, emotional/behavioral disabilities, and diverse learning needs
• Proficiency in instructional technology, including iPads and adaptive tools
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills?

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Prepare Re-evaluation Reports (RRs) with updated student data for triennial review
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students' academic and behavioral growth
• Provide direct instruction and small group interventions using evidence-based strategies
• Modify the general education curriculum to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Co-teach with general education staff and contribute to an inclusive classroom environment
• Collect and maintain progress monitoring data for IEP goals
• Partner with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) and other transition resources
• Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP and parent meetings
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal special education regulations
• Support career readiness and post-secondary planning for students
• Complete all district and state reporting requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Special Education Director
