Role: Field Service Technician
Pay: $38.94 - $40.86 / hour Eligible for OT

Location: East Pittsburgh Area, PA
Our global manufacturing client is a looking to add a field service technician to their team who would be based out of their Pittsburgh, PA Headquarters. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to Customers related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of company equipment.
Responsibilities:
· Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, or requests regarding operation of our manufactured capital equipment in a timely and efficient manner. Travel to customer locations to install new machines, troubleshoot problems, diagnose, and develop plans for repair or correction of problems. Evaluate materials, parts and resources needed for completion of projects including ordering components as may be required. Schedule visits for preventive maintenance, upgrades, or improvements with existing machine customers.
Responsibilities Include:
· Schedule service calls with customers; travel to customer facilities; install, evaluate, repair, or provide preventive maintenance on machines.
· Assist Machine Build Department in Pittsburgh assembling machines when not traveling.
· Support Sales, Engineering, or other departments with the following:
1. Communicate customer concerns and requests, including complaints, RFQs, orders, etc.
2. Update all service calls conducted, repairs made, parts used in Salesforce.
3. Follow up with customer re-orders for parts, or tooling.
· Travel up to 80%.
· Responsible for all documentation of service and expense reports.
Knowledge and Experience:
· Technical degree in Electrical / Mechanical or 3 plus years of experience in field service mechanical maintenance, repair and or service. PLC experience a plus.
· Troubleshooting experience mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control systems utilizing micrometers, calipers, DMM’s, and oscilloscopes.
· Ability to read mechanical engineering drawings, and schematics
· Good written and oral communication skills.
