Salary: $30-$55
This is a skilled position in the construction, maintenance and repair of electrical underground distribution systems that includes working on and around pad mount & aerial transformers, De-energizing and Re - energizing failed Primary & Secondary cables.
Essential Functions:
Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized underground work.
Lead crew and represent the Company in absence of the Foreman.
Effectively conduct pre-job briefings.
Possess a working knowledge of all aspects of underground distribution.
Frequently works with energized high voltage systems requiring skill and care to protect the lives of themselves and others.
Capable of operating a bucket and derrick trucks
Capable of safely operating and maintaining company equipment.
Able to identify primary and secondary voltage
Must be able to splice, terminate and test all underground electrical lines and equipment
Must be familiar with induced voltage.
Possesses knowledge of tools for terminating cable both Secondary and Primary Termination points
Understands grounding procedures.
Capable of working in confined spaces.
Understands confined space requirements.
Capable of properly installing and removing PPE and cover up.
Understands underground services, infrastructure and duct banks.
Capable of planning safe work based on a job print or work order.
Promote safety at all times.
Able to properly inspect ALL PPE.
Inspects the work of crew members
Performs all other related work as required to complete the job.
Other Requirements:
2+ years of recent experience.
Read and communicate effectively in English.
Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
Must reside in the state of Pennsylvania
Demonstrates safe driving techniques.
Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather.
Willing to work over-time when requested.
Able to use hand tools on a continuous basis.
Capable of being exposed to dirt and power on a daily basis.
Knowledge in identifying underground utility locates.
Possesses knowledge of tools for terminating cable.
Capable of terminating different sizes of cable.
Knowledge in troubleshooting underground circuits.
Able to identify unforeseen obstacles that would hinder safety or production.
Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hand to fingers, handle and feel, reach with hands and arms and climb poles as necessary.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to dust, pollen, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration, extreme heat and cold associated with conditions existing within Pennsylvania The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
