• Location: Wilkes Barre, PA 18702 (Northeastern Pennsylvania healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Hospital-based Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Department
• Position Type: Travel MRI Technologist
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (8/18/2025 – 11/16/2025)
• Shift: Evening shifts, 8 hours (2:00pm – 10:30pm)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2750 - $2820

MRI Technologist Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI Technologist program
• Current ARRT certification as an MRI Technologist and Radiology Technologist
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an MRI Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
• Strong knowledge of MRI procedures, imaging protocols, and MRI safety standards

Primary Responsibilities – MRI Technologist

• Perform MRI imaging procedures (neuro, body, extremity scans) according to radiologist protocols
• Prepare, position, and monitor patients for MRI exams, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Educate patients about MRI procedures and answer questions to provide excellent patient care
• Perform venous access for IV contrast administration as required
• Enter patient data into Radiology Information Systems and process digital images
• Identify anatomy, assess image quality, and ensure diagnostic accuracy
• Conduct quality control tests and promptly report equipment issues
• Order, track, and maintain MRI department supplies
• Serve as a radiology liaison, collaborating with physicians and clinical staff
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, healthcare regulations, and MRI safety standards
