Golden Barrel Products - Inventory Tech

Essential Job Functions:

• Lead the identification, development, and implementation of inventory control improvement projects
• Align inventory processes across all business units to ensure common inventory practices are in place to ensure the integrity and accuracy of inventory
• Train and work with appropriate personnel to implement processes and projects
• Manage and setup cycle count routines, monthly reporting and other inventory functions to meet business objectives
• Cross-trained on duties of and serve as backup for other Inventory Control personnel
• Will include travel between company sites for cross-training, meetings, and project involvement
• Any other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by the manager/supervisor  

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience

• Two years’ experience in inventory control, mathematics, accounting, or administrative role
• Associates or Technical Degree in accounting, business, mathematics, or similar field preferred
• Experience with MS Excel spreadsheets and ERP software
• Demonstrated responsibility for improvement projects and/or leading other personnel

Licenses / Certifications

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to operate motor vehicles in the course of employment
• Six Sigma Green Belt or other equivalent inventory management certification(s) – required for Level II

 Knowledge Skills & Abilities

• Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and or situations
• Ability to plan and think ahead over a 3 month to 1 year time span
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Familiar with the data systems and able to input and retrieve data and compile reports

• PC-based software systems

• Any specialized safety or other training required
• None Required.

Typical Environmental & Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
• Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low .

Working Environment
Standard workdays, Monday through Friday and as necessary to complete the requirements of the position. Some weekend hours may be required at times.
