Excavating Site Foreman

Job Title: Excavating Site Foreman
Location: York, PA, United States

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee site excavation projects, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion
• Supervise a crew of 3 to 5 workers, assigning tasks and monitoring performance
• Track daily crew hours and completed quantities to ensure project accuracy
• Utilize GPS grade controls and rover for precise measurements and elevations
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications for project execution
• Manage site activities related to excavation, grading, foundations, water, storm, and sewer utilities
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and project specifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as a site foreman
• At least 5 years overall site work experience
• Valid drivers license
• Basic computer skills
• Proficiency in using GPS grade controls and rover equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications
• Understanding of site excavation, grading, foundations, and utility work (water, storm, sewer)
• Experience managing and running small crews on excavation projects
