Sr. Automation Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer for a Contract with a client in Pittsburgh, PA. This role requires deep expertise in automation engineering to streamline delivery pipelines and ensure high‑quality, efficient releases.

Rate Range: $42/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr. Automation Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage automated release processes to ensure consistent, reliable, and high‑quality software deployments across environments.

• Design, develop, and implement intelligent automation solutions leveraging AI to enhance system efficiency and streamline workflows.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to optimize automation pipelines and eliminate manual bottlenecks.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve automation frameworks to enhance performance, stability, and scalability.

• Establish and enforce automation standards, best practices, and governance to ensure compliance and maintain operational excellence.

• Mentor team members and provide technical guidance on automation tools, release processes, and AI‑based automation methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

• 10+ years of experience in automation engineering, including automated release management.

• Strong expertise in automated release management, CI/CD processes, and enterprise‑level automation frameworks.

• Hands‑on experience with AI‑driven automation solutions and tools to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Pay Details: $42.00 to $45.00 per hour
