Start Date: Immediate we put down Local candidates only Job Description: Position Summary This position will provide support to a specific project where we are evaluating the feasibility of making some packaging changes to our existing medical devices as an on-going cost savings project. Position Duties and Responsibilities Research Existing Packaging Materials, Dimensions, Weights and Densities

• Utilizes our electronic document control system to research and document the current packaging materials, dimensions, weight and density for each product under evaluation.
• Organizes data in a clear and easy to understand Excel-based format
• Provides reliable data (double checks own work prior to submitting it for further review)

Documents Proposed Changes to Products

• Follows guidance from our packaging engineer to document the proposed changes to each product under evaluation.
• Organizes data in a clear and easy to understand Excel-based format
• Provides reliable data (double checks own work prior to submitting it for further review)

Determines the Impact of Proposed changes on the overall weight, dimensions and density

• Uses basic mathematical formulas to determine how the proposed change(s) will impact each products existing weight, dimensions and density.
• Organizes data in a clear and easy to understand Excel-based format
• Provides reliable data (double checks own work prior to submitting it for further review)
• Reviews results with Packaging and/or Sterilization engineers to obtain further guidance and direction
• Based upon the results of the data, may be asked to evaluate other proposed packaging changes if directed by the Sterilization and/or Packaging engineer

Updates existing excel spreadsheets

• Once all the proposed changes are agreed upon by the sterilization & packaging engineer, other existing excel spreadsheets will need updated to reflect the dimensions, weight and density of the devices with new packaging.
• Provides reliable data (double checks own work prior to submitting it for further review)

Maintains frequent communication and updates on project status

• Due to the urgency of completing this project, routine check-ins will be expected to update progress and address any roadblocks. This is anticipated to be approximately two times per week but can be modified as the Client project manager deems appropriate.
• Must be proactive in reaching out to project contacts when an obstacle is encountered so as to not adversely impact the completion timeline of this project.

Requirements/Preferences: Education Minimum Requirement Associates Degree Education Preferred - Bachelors Degree Skills & Competency Requirements - Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Proficient with Microsoft Word, Capable of independently performing simple mathematical calculations using formulas within Excel, Provides high quality results (double checks own work) Preferences Knowledge/experience of medical devices, Knowledge/experience with product packaging, Knowledge/experience with sterilization of medical devices Belcan is an equal opportunity employer.
