Kitchen Porter
Job Requirements
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic with a reliable and punctual attitude.
- Good attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift moderate to heavy loads (50lb).
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Basic food hygiene knowledge is desirable (training can be provided).
Key Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Clean floors, work surfaces, storage areas, and waste disposal areas.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Support chefs with basic food preparation when required.
- Dispose of rubbish and recycling safely and efficiently.
- Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Help ensure the kitchen operates smoothly during service.
