Senior Application Developer

Position Overview:

This role serves as a Senior Application Developer and Technical Architecture Specialist responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of enterprise applications that support data analytics, business intelligence, and operational systems. The position combines hands-on development (75%) with technical leadership (25%), leveraging a modern Microsoft technology stack to build scalable, cloud-based solutions and guide architectural decisions.

Duties:

• Lead the technical design and architecture of enterprise web applications and services supporting analytics and business intelligence solutions

• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and secure application architectures

• Provide technical leadership by establishing development standards, conducting code and design reviews, and mentoring developers

• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and accessibility (WCAG) guidelines

• Identify technical risks, evaluate technologies, and recommend implementation strategies for complex initiatives

• Design and develop enterprise applications using .NET technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, and REST APIs

• Build modern, responsive web applications using Angular and TypeScript

• Develop application services, business logic, and integrations supporting enterprise systems and data platforms

• Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment

• Troubleshoot complex application issues and optimize performance and scalability

• Design and implement database structures, queries, and stored procedures for enterprise applications

• Work with large datasets and integrate applications with data warehousing and analytics platforms

• Develop data-driven services and interfaces connecting enterprise data sources

• Develop and deploy applications in Microsoft Azure environments

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments using Azure DevOps

• Monitor application performance and ensure operational reliability through tuning and automation

• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions

• Communicate technical designs and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to development team members

• Develop and maintain technical documentation for applications and system architectures

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of professional IT experience in enterprise application development

• 7+ years of experience developing applications using .NET technologies such as C#, ASP.NET, and Web APIs

• Strong experience developing modern web applications using Angular or similar frameworks

• Extensive experience designing and optimizing solutions using relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server/Azure SQL, or PostgreSQL

• Experience developing applications within Microsoft Azure environments

• Experience implementing source control, automated builds, and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools

• Experience participating in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment

• Experience developing accessible web applications in compliance with WCAG guidelines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience developing automation or scripting solutions using Python or PowerShell

• Experience integrating applications with business intelligence platforms or analytics environments

• Experience working with data warehousing or large enterprise data environments

• Experience mentoring developers and providing technical leadership within development teams

• Experience integrating enterprise applications with reporting platforms such as SAP BusinessObjects
