Landscape Crew Lead (Full-Time)
Compensation: $22-$30+ per hour
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and knowledgeable Landscape Crew Lead to manage day-to-day field operations. You won’t just be operating equipment; you’ll be the bridge between our clients and our production team. The ideal candidate has a "pro-growth" mindset, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to lead a 2–4 person crew to complete projects on time and above standard.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Leadership: Direct the daily workflow for installations and maintenance, ensuring all crew members are working safely and efficiently.
- Quality Control: Walk every site before departure to ensure the job meets the "finished" standard (clean edges, blown-off hardscapes, debris removed).
- Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients on-site, addressing questions with professionalism and a solutions-oriented attitude.
- Equipment Management: Oversight of daily truck and trailer organization, basic equipment maintenance (greasing, blade checks), and ensuring all tools return to the shop.
- Reporting: Complete daily digital logs or timesheets accurately, noting materials used and hours spent per job.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional landscaping experience (hardscape, softscape, or maintenance). At least 1 year in a supervisory role is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in operating zero-turn mowers, skid steers, trimmers, and blowers. Knowledge of plant identification and pruning techniques.
- Logistics: Valid Driver’s License with a clean record; ability to safely tow and back up a trailer.
- Physical: Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work 8–10 hour days in various weather conditions.
