ER RN Job Details – Du Bois, PA

• Location: Du Bois, Pennsylvania 15801
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 8, 2025 – December 8, 2025)
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department, Level II Trauma Center
• Shifts: Rotating 12-hour shifts (07:00–19:30, 11:00–23:30, 19:00–07:30); every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910–$1960
• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Charting System: Cerner
• Block Scheduling: Available in blocks of 6 shifts
• No floating to other units for Emergency Room RNs

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania or compact state RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Community hospital nursing experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS (CPI and TNCC preferred)
• Must complete PA fingerprinting and Childline process upon contract signing
• Lab work required within 72 hours of contract signing
• Experience with Cerner electronic charting system preferred
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and every other weekend
• No local candidates (must reside at least 75 miles from facility)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced Emergency Room
• Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and behavioral health emergencies
• Administer emergency medications, blood products, and advanced interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Utilize Cerner for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in trauma care, procedural sedation, and management of critically ill patients
• Follow infection control protocols, isolation precautions, and hospital policies
• Promote a safe environment for patients, families, and healthcare staff
