Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality care to patients across in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Your expertise in physical therapy techniques and patient management will be essential in helping individuals regain mobility and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.

• Provide therapeutic interventions to patients, including exercises and modalities, under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

• Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately in compliance with clinic protocols.

• Educate patients and their families on care plans, home exercises, and injury prevention strategies.

• Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

• Stay updated on best practices in physical therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.

Experience

• Previous experience or coursework in physical therapy is preferred; familiarity with pediatrics, orthopedics, outpatient settings, or home health is a plus.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.

• Experience in developing care plans tailored to individual patient needs is highly valued.

• Ability to work effectively in both clinic and inpatient environments while demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
