Physical Therapist - Travel Contract
Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist role in Philadelphia, PA where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. This outpatient opportunity emphasizes outpatient orthopedic care, patient-centered functional treatment planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by APTA.
- Active Pennsylvania physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Ideally 1–2 years of outpatient orthopedic experience. New graduates will be considered.
- Experience completing comprehensive evaluations, developing treatment plans, and documenting per regulatory and clinic standards.
- Ability to follow state Practice Act, maintain professional licensure and complete required continuing education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous outpatient orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
- Experience supervising or precepting students is preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift pattern: 5x8.

Impacting Patient Care
This role requires completing comprehensive evaluations, creating individualized treatment plans focused on discharge goals, timely and accurate documentation including letters of medical necessity, and adherence to physician orders and payer approvals. The clinician will support student learning as assigned, participate in professional development, and follow organizational safety practices including safe patient handling and infection control.
