A well-established 500-bed hospital in the Lancaster, PA area is seeking a skilled Pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment with an ASAP start. This opportunity offers a variable schedule working days and afternoons, providing some flexibility to fit your needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Verifying medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
- Consulting with physicians and healthcare teams on medication therapies
- Applying pharmacokinetics principles to optimize dosing regimens
- Utilizing IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis to support pharmacy operations
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
- Approximately 2 years of experience in an inpatient hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of medication safety, regulations, and clinical pharmacy practices
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clinical staff
Schedule:
- Variable days and afternoon shifts to accommodate operational needs
