Chief Financial Officer
Chief Financial Officer | 100% Remote | $160K–$180K + Bonus
A well-established, professional services organization is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. This is a highly visible role with responsibility for leading the company’s financial strategy, reporting, controls, budgeting, forecasting, and day-to-day financial operations.
The company operates in a service-based, client-focused environment and supports organizations across multiple states. The business is stable, collaborative, and employee-focused, with a leadership team that values partnership, communication, and thoughtful decision-making.
This is a strong opportunity for a finance leader who enjoys both strategy and execution. The accounting/finance team is lean, so this person must be comfortable staying close to the details while also serving as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team.
*While the position is 100% remote, there is a preference for candidates within a commutable distance of the Camp Hill, PA area to allow for occasional in-person collaboration with leadership.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required
- CPA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership experience
- Experience in a smaller or mid-sized company environment where the CFO or finance leader remains close to the details
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on financial oversight
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, internal controls, audits, and tax-related processes
- Experience preparing financial reports and presentations for executives, ownership, or a Board of Directors
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with accounting and financial systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering skills
- Professional, personable, and collaborative communication style
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Lead the full financial function, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, AP, AR, billing, general ledger, fixed assets, tax provisions, audits, banking relationships, internal controls, and Board reporting
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on business strategy, financial planning, operational performance, and decision-making
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, metrics, and presentations for leadership and the Board of Directors
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, KPIs, operating metrics, and variance reporting
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
- Coordinate audit activity and work closely with external auditors, banking partners, and tax professionals
- Oversee client billing processes and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and visibility
- Support process improvement, systems optimization, and scalable financial practices
- Provide hands-on financial oversight in a lean team environment
- Lead, coach, and support a small team that includes accounting and operational support functions
