We’re currently seeking a General Laborer I to join our growing team of diverse professionals in Steelton, Pennsylvania .

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Loads and unloads goods from vehicles such as trucks or rail cars

· Safely and efficiently operates the forklift, and notes all preventative maintenance and notification of repairs needed

· Moves goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility

· Stacks goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions

· Checks loads are secure

· Examines products to verify conformance to quality standards

· Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility

· Performs general housekeeping, organization/maintenance projects, and cleanup of the facility and property

· Follows assembly instructions

· Mindful of all safety and quality protocol

· Operates cranes and jib cranes

· Assists other employees, works collaboratively to accomplish goals

· Takes initiative by providing input and information to resolve assembly issues

· Identifies delays or barriers such as material shortages or quality issues

· High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment

· Follows instructions for operating equipment and keeping records

· Executes assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner

· Maintains a clean and safe work environment

Minimum Qualifications:

· Ability to obtain forklift certification

· High School diploma or GED

· Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck or other loading equipment

· Frequently lift up to 60 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time

· Having a good sense of balance

· Having good eye-hand-foot coordination

· Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights

· Ability to work in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust

· Ability to work on-site in Steelton, Pennsylvania

Preferred Qualifications:

· Math, language, reading, and basic computer skills

· Valid driver’s license with a clean recent driving record

· Welding experience
