The VP, Agency/Brand - Advertising Solutions is a strategic leader responsible for significantly expanding PurpleLab’s advertising presence within the healthcare ecosystem. This role drives substantial revenue growth by acquiring new agency and brand customers and expanding existing relationships through a high-velocity land-and-expand strategy. This VP leads and develops a high-performing sales team, ensuring accurate forecasting and consistent achievement of revenue targets. They are instrumental in developing and executing successful sales strategies, building robust pipeline generation programs in collaboration with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Product), and shaping short, mid, and long-term vertical strategies, particularly in life sciences and payer/provider. This leader also works closely with business unit leaders and C-Suite executives on budget, hiring, and compensation planning, and executes strategic initiatives with platform partners.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Expanding PurpleLab’s advertising presence through bringing on new agency and brand customers and expanding existing relationships with a high velocity land-and-expand strategy.
- Accurately forecasting quarterly and annual bookings.
- Accurately forecasting monthly variable bookings.
- Managing a team of agency and direct-to-brand sellers.
- Building and executing pipeline generation programs with the sales team and in conjunction with cross-functional team members from Marketing, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Product.
- Working with leadership and cross-functional partners to develop short, mid, and long-term vertical strategies including working with life sciences and payer/provider leadership to accelerate adoption of omnichannel marketing capabilities in those verticals.
- Work with business unit leaders and C-Suite executives to determine annual business unit budget, hiring plan and quota & commission plan design.
- Work with Business Development organization to execute strategic initiatives with platform partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs and company objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in advertising sales is required, with at least 5+ years in a senior sales leadership or management role is preferred.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding aggressive revenue targets and accurately forecasting sales.
- Demonstrated experience in managing, coaching, and scaling high-performing sales teams.
- Strong understanding of the ad-tech landscape, data-driven advertising, and programmatic media.
- Deep experience with "land-and-expand" or similar growth strategies.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Customer Success, etc.).
