Commercial Flooring Installer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and detail-oriented Commercial Flooring Installer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for the removal, installation, repair, prep, and finishing of a wide range of commercial flooring systems across active job sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and project specifications to ensure accurate layout and installation

• Measure, cut, and install various flooring materials, including carpet tile, LVT/LVP, sheet vinyl, laminate, hardwood, resilient, and tile

• Prepare surfaces through leveling, patching, grinding, and cleaning to ensure proper adhesion and finish

• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently (cutting tools, drills, seam rollers, buffers, etc.)

• Perform repairs, replacements, and finishing work to maintain quality standards

• Maintain a clean and organized job site while following all safety protocols

• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project timelines

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience in commercial flooring installation (preferred)

• Strong knowledge of flooring materials, installation techniques, and industry standards

• Ability to read drawings and follow detailed instructions

• Skilled in the safe use of hand tools and power tools

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation

• Piece-rate pay: $1.25 per square foot installed

• Consistent commercial workload with opportunity to maximize earnings based on productivity and efficiency
