A well-established 500-bed hospital in York, PA is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support their inpatient pharmacy services. This contract position offers a dynamic work environment with a variable schedule to accommodate afternoon and day shifts. The assignment begins as soon as possible and is expected to last for at least 13 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform order verification to ensure accuracy and safety of medication dispensing
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and support
- Consult directly with physicians on medication therapy, including pharmacokinetics
- Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation
Qualifications:
- Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
- Approximately 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficiency with electronic health records and automated dispensing systems
Schedule/Hours:
- Variable days and afternoons to accommodate hospital needs
