Why You’ll Love This Opportunity:
- Starting Pay: $20.85 per hour.
- Upcoming Raise: Effective July 1st, 2026, the base rate increases to $21.23 per hour.
- 1-Year Raise: At your 1-year anniversary, your base rate increases to $22.35 per hour.
- First-Year Earnings Potential: $55,000 – $70,000+ with overtime.

- Clear path for advancement: Once you master the Hostler Driver and Groundperson duties, you can move into training to become a certified conductor, and later a certified engineer. Both certifications come with a $1.50 per hour raise upon successful completion.
Schedule:
- Start time: 6 PM, 5 days per week.
- Daily shifts typically range from 8 to 14 hours.

Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a 7-year background check and drug screening.
- Pass a Physical Capabilities Test.
- No high school diploma or GED required.
- Must live within 45 minutes of Chambersburg, PA (no relocation assistance provided).
This role is an excellent fit for individuals with backgrounds in warehouse work, truck driving (CDL or non-CDL), delivery, landscaping, construction, or anyone who enjoys active, outdoor work.
You will be employed directly by Pacific Rail Services and not by the railroad itself.
