A well-established engineering and environmental consulting firm is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager to support their expanding operations across the mid-Atlantic region. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering professional who is passionate about geotechnical analysis, project leadership, and delivering high-quality results for a diverse client base.

This role will be based in either the Doylestown or Pittsburgh, PA office, with flexibility for a hybrid work-from-home arrangement .

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead geotechnical investigations and provide engineering recommendations for a variety of projects, including infrastructure, commercial, and environmental developments.

• Conduct geotechnical analyses such as bearing capacity evaluations, slope stability assessments, and slip repair recommendations.

• Oversee and mentor project teams, managing technical staff, subcontractors, and ensuring quality control of all deliverables.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.

• Prepare geotechnical reports, drawings, specifications, and technical proposals.

• Interpret geotechnical instrumentation data and provide expert insights for field and office-based activities.

• Collaborate with internal engineering, environmental, and regulatory teams to support integrated project execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or related field).

• Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Geotechnical Engineer license in PA, NJ, or MD (required).

• Minimum of 8 10 years of geotechnical engineering and consulting experience .

• Proven project management experience, including client interaction, budgeting, and scheduling.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor project teams.

• Experience with geotechnical instrumentation and data interpretation.

Preferred Skills:

• Proposal development and business development experience.

• Familiarity with industry-standard software (e.g., GeoStudio, gINT, PLAXIS, etc.).

• Working knowledge of local and regional geotechnical and environmental regulations.
