Geotechnical Engineer

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is looking for a passionate and experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our Wilkes-Barre, PA office. If you're ready to take your career to the next level in a dynamic and supportive environment, we want to hear from you!

We're seeking candidates with a background in Geology or Civil Engineering and hands-on experience in geotechnical investigations and construction observation/testing, particularly in the following areas:

Earthwork, foundation, and construction materials testing
Subsurface investigations (borings, test pits), analysis of logs, lab results, and design plans
Calculations related to bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, earth pressure, and pavement design
Preparation of detailed geotechnical reports

This role offers the opportunity to grow into advanced responsibilities such as:

✔ Retaining wall and slope stability design
✔ Pavement and foundation design
✔ Subsurface condition assessments
✔ Project and client management

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering

• FE certification (preferred), PE license (a plus)

• Strong communication and technical writing skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

• Experience with CADD (preferred)
