Warehouse & Transportation Manager
We are a leading specialty food wholesale distributor seeking a dedicated and hands-on Manager of Warehouse and Transportation to join our team. If you're a true "stud operator" who leads by example, this is the perfect role for you. This isn't a desk job—you'll be working shoulder-to-shoulder with our team, making sure our operations run smoothly from the floor.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead from the Floor: This role requires more than just high-level management. You'll be actively involved in daily operations, from receiving pallets and managing putaways to correcting mispicks and adjusting inventory.
- Master the Systems: You'll become an expert in our systems, using an RF scanner and Dakota software to manage daily transactions, create virtual slots, and handle customer returns.
- Physical Work: You must be willing to work in both cold and dry departments, get on a Crown lift to replenish stock, and physically move products to their correct locations.
- Drive Excellence: You’ll be a key leader in our operations, helping to ensure efficiency, compliance, and growth.
What We're Looking For:
- A mature, operations-driven candidate with a strong understanding of physical and technical warehouse operations.
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Someone who can absorb new systems and execute daily warehouse disciplines.
- A leader who is comfortable working directly with staff and is capable of managing from the floor.
