Position Information Posting Number S01493 Position Title Administrative Assistant Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Working Title Administrative Assistant Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Position Number Position Type Non-exempt Division and Department Information Division Diversity, Equity & Inclusivity Department Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusivity Posting Information Job Summary/Basic Function Under the supervision of the Director of the Women's and Gender Resource Center, the Administrative Associate for DEI will perform varied advanced secretarial and administrative work for the Division. This includes providing regular support for the Women's and Gender Resource Center, the Popel Shaw Center for Race and Ethnicity, the LGBTQ+ Center, and DEI student workers. This position may have contact with high-level administrative offices and other campus departments and must be able to respond as appropriate. Essential Functions:- Interpret and explain established policies and procedures in response to inquiries from a variety of sources
- Summarizing reports and information to facilitate review by supervisor, and investigating, evaluating and resolving problems within the scope of position
- Maintains department files, record-keeping systems, and confidential materials
- Provides office operations support such as receiving and screening telephone calls and visitors, scheduling meetings, conference, seminars, and special events, maintaining supervisor's calendar
- Utilizes, maintains and updates databases, software applications, and spreadsheets
- Generate letters, forms, reports, mailings, requests, faxes, credit card statements, office procedures, etc.
- Prepares minutes, notices, manuals, agendas and correspondence with all supporting documentation, requiring application of specialized knowledge of the assigned function
- Monitors and updates inventory, time, budget, payroll, and account records for office, monitors expenditures and performs simple analysis on accounts, authorizes and/or approves payments within established guidelines
