Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Regional Float
Estimated Pay: $18–$22/hour + $3/hour float premium + mileage reimbursement
Schedule: Full-Time, Days
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 for eligible candidates

Overview

A dynamic healthcare team is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to serve as a Regional Float , supporting outpatient clinics across Wyoming and Luzerne counties. This role offers the unique opportunity to gain experience across a variety of specialties while enjoying additional compensation for travel.

What You'll Do

• Travel between designated clinics based on staffing needs

• Collect patient history, vitals, and visit-specific information using electronic medical records (EMR)

• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during exams, minor procedures, and wound care

• Perform tasks such as EKGs, dressing changes, phlebotomy, and specimen collection

• Administer non-IV medications following training and protocols

• Support front-office duties including scheduling, patient check-ins, and referral coordination

• Reinforce provider instructions and assist with patient education

• Handle clerical work including filing, billing inquiries, and documentation

• Maintain and clean medical equipment and instruments according to safety protocols

• Uphold high standards for infection control, safety, and patient privacy

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED

• Certification as a CMA or RMA through one of the following: NHA, AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, AAH, or AMCA

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)

• Willingness to travel and work across multiple clinic locations

Preferred:

• Graduate of an accredited 1- or 2-year Medical Assistant program

• At least 1 year of related clinical experience
