Key Job Details – MRI Technologist (Locum Tenens)

• Location: Wilkes Barre, PA 18702 (Pennsylvania healthcare job)
• Facility: Hospital – Magnetic Resonance Imaging Unit
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (October 20, 2025 – January 20, 2026)
• Shifts: 12-hour day shifts; flexible schedules (Friday 10a-10p, Sat/Sun 7a-7p; Monday 10a-10p, Sat/Sun 7a-7p)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2470 - $2540
• Employment Type: Locum tenens, travel MRI Technologist contract

Qualifications – MRI Technologist

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI Technologist program
• Current ARRT certification as an MRI Technologist and Radiology Technologist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an MRI Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety, imaging protocols, and clinical support

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI procedures (neuro, body, extremity) following radiologist protocols
• Prepare and position patients for MRI exams, providing clear communication and clinical support
• Ensure patient and staff safety in the MRI environment, adhering to all hospital and imaging safety standards
• Perform venous access for IV contrast administration as needed
• Enter and manage patient data in Radiology Imaging Systems and PACS
• Process and review images for quality assurance and accurate anatomy identification
• Conduct quality control tests and promptly report equipment issues
• Order and manage MRI supplies, collaborating with radiology and healthcare teams
• Support physicians with expert radiological knowledge and maintain high standards of patient care
