About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at our Fairview, PA facility. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of yard operations, body shop performance, inventory flow, and customer service to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality operations.

The Operations Manager will play a key leadership role, setting performance goals for teams across Body Shop, Inventory, Security, and Custodial departments while ensuring operational excellence, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction. This position reports directly to the General Manager and works closely with the Transportation and Office teams to deliver consistent results and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations

  • Coordinate with the Transportation Manager to plan for projected vehicle volumes and operational needs.

  • Plan, schedule, and balance workflow across the body shop, mechanics, and reconditioning teams .

  • Ensure Condition Reports are completed accurately and on time.

  • Oversee vehicle flow-ensuring cars are pulled, registered, stored, and photographed correctly and efficiently.

  • Monitor and maintain high standards for vehicle presentation and yard organization .

  • Prepare and submit daily operational reports to upper management.

Weekly Operations

  • Lead and coordinate auction planning to ensure smooth and timely execution.

  • Work with administrative staff to ensure all condition reports and vehicle statuses are up to date.

  • Manage and resolve arbitrations related to condition reports or customer concerns promptly and professionally.

Business & Staff Management

  • Hire, lead, train, and develop operational staff across multiple departments.

  • Foster collaboration between body shop, registration, and transportation teams for lean, efficient operations.

  • Manage inventory flow , ensuring timely intake and exit processes.

  • Communicate with sellers and buyers to meet service expectations and resolve issues effectively.

  • Oversee purchasing, invoice processing, and vendor payments to ensure operational continuity.

  • Maintain facility cleanliness, yard organization, and safety compliance .

  • Develop and implement EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) training programs aligned with OSHA and company standards.

Technical & Industry Expertise

  • Apply strong knowledge of NAAA (National Auto Auction Association) arbitration rules to resolve disputes and maintain compliance.

  • Assist with vehicle inspections and condition reports to ensure accuracy and value optimization.

  • Utilize mechanical background to support technical assessments and reconditioning quality control.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, waste management, and environmental safety standards .

  • Demonstrate strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills in arbitration and customer interactions.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an Automotive Repair Shop , Auction Operations , or a related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience managing cross-functional teams.

  • Strong understanding of NAAA arbitration rules , vehicle reconditioning processes, and yard management operations.

  • Working knowledge of OSHA compliance , safety practices , and waste management .

Preferred:

  • Experience as a claims adjuster or in automotive claims management.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple operational functions in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (based on experience)
