CNC Machinist Operator – 4 DAY Work Week – up to 4 WEEKS PTO to start, up to $35/hour

We are looking for talented CNC Lathe and/or Mill Operators who can take a part from print to production—or those with the passion to develop those skills through our on-site CNC Training Academy.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Skilled CNC Operator with experience in setups, operation, and inspection of precision parts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, motivated, and capable of working with tight tolerances on short-run and production jobs. Experience with lathes featuring live tooling, bar feeders, or sub-spindles is highly desirable. 4-day work week! Up to 4 WEEKS PTO to start. Your wage and PTO are based on your skill level defined in the chart below:

• Level 1 – $16–$22/hour, 40 hours PTO (plus 8 hours/year)
• Level 2 – $18–$24/hour, 50 hours PTO (plus 8 hours/year)
• Level 3 – $22–$28/hour, 60 hours PTO (plus 8 hours/year)
• Level 4 – $26–$32/hour, 80 hours PTO (plus 8 hours/year)
• Level 5 – $28–$36/hour, 120 hours PTO (plus 8 hours/year)
• Level 6 – $30+ per hour, 160 hours PTO (max 160 until year 20, then plus 4 hours/year)

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or mills (including live tooling, bar feeders, and sub-spindles).
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
• Program, adjust, and optimize machine settings to produce precision parts.
• Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to improve efficiency and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Ability to take a part from print to production.
• Minimum: Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn advanced machining skills.
• Experience with CNC lathes and/or CNC mills (multi-axis, live tooling, sub-spindle) strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with G-code, M-code, and CNC programming is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
