Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for a reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to work for an entity of a government agency. In this role, you will be the gatekeeper of outgoing payments, ensuring that invoices are processed accurately and vendors are paid on time. The idea candidate will have 1-3 years experience. Responsibilities

We are looking for a reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. In this role, you will be ensuring that invoices are processed accurately and vendors are paid on time.

• Review, verify, and enter invoices into the accounting system with accuracy.
• Route invoices to the correct department heads for approval and follow up on pending items.

• Respond to vendor inquiries, reconcile monthly statements, and resolve any billing discrepancies.

• Assist in preparing weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.

• Maintain digital and physical financial records in accordance with company policy.

• Assist the accounting team with month-end closing activities and 1099 processing at year-end.

Should be able to pass all pre-employment background tests including local, state and federal criminal checks and drug screen. 100% working in the office in Carlisle.
