Senior Electrical Engineer – Electromagnetic Systems & Simulation
Location:
Type: Full-Time | Onsite | U.S. Citizenship Required

We’re looking for a seasoned, simulation-savvy electrical engineer to lead the design and analysis of complex electro-mechanical systems that power mission-critical applications. If you're fluent in finite element analysis and passionate about turning theory into performance, this is where your experience takes flight.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze electromagnetic (EM) fields in advanced rotating machinery (pumps, motors, generators, exciters) using cutting-edge 2D and 3D EMFEA tools

• Model electrical system interactions with VFDs, transformers, excitation systems, and control components

• Lead multi-disciplinary technical teams through the design, analysis, and testing of complex electrical systems

• Prepare and execute detailed engineering plans, technical presentations, reports, and documentation

• Drive innovation through advanced system modeling, trade studies, and simulation under real-world performance constraints

• Design and conduct experiments; interpret data to optimize product performance and solve complex technical challenges

• Mentor junior engineers and support their growth within a high-performing, collaborative environment

What You Bring

• U.S. Citizenship (due to federal contract requirements)

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required (Master’s preferred; PhD a plus)

• 15+ years of engineering experience, including hands-on work with transient simulation and rotating machinery

• Proficiency in one or more of the following:

  • Electromagnetic Finite Element Analysis (2D/3D)

  • System Modeling (e.g., Mathcad, MATLAB, Flux2D)

  • Acoustics and/or Thermal Analysis

• Proven ability to lead design teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong presentation, documentation, and technical communication skills

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and fast-paced technical environments

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and engineering software tools
