Middle School Math Teacher (Part-Time, 20 hrs/week) or Full-time

Redeemer Lutheran School is a PreK–12 Christian school located in Verona, Pennsylvania, serving 275 students and their families from 13 school districts across Allegheny and Westmoreland counties. Our mission is to provide a Christ-centered education that equips students academically, spiritually, and socially for lives of Christian service and leadership.

We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Middle School Math Teacher to join our middle school team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced educator who integrates faith with learning and is committed to academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach middle school math courses (grades 6–8), including Pre-Algebra, using current best practices in instruction and lesson planning.
• Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that align with both academic standards and Christian values.
• Create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
• Integrate Christian faith into the classroom through prayer, Biblical principles, and daily interactions.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support student success and readiness for high school.
• Maintain effective classroom management while fostering a supportive and respectful learning atmosphere.
• Use classroom technology, including Smartboards and Chromebooks, to enhance instruction and learning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (required).
• Teaching certification in Middle School Math or eligibility for certification (preferred).
• Active membership in a Trinitarian Christian church.
• Strong commitment to sharing and living out the Christian faith in the school community.
• Experience with lesson planning, instructional strategies, and classroom management at the middle school level.
• Proficient with educational technology and digital learning tools.

Preferred Qualities:

• Experience teaching in a Christian school or faith-based setting.
• Familiarity with both secular and Christian educational materials.
• Enthusiastic, flexible, and collaborative team player with a student-centered approach.
