Join a Team That Builds Innovation from the Ground Up
Are you an experienced Control Engineer who thrives in a hands-on, collaborative environment? Do you enjoy seeing your designs come to life and being part of a team that builds custom machinery from concept to completion? If you're motivated by challenging work, eager to take ownership of your projects, and excited by the chance to grow with a company that values innovation and craftsmanship, this could be your next great opportunity.
Our client is looking for a driven Control Engineer to join a dynamic, growing manufacturing team based in Hanover, PA. In this role, you'll be designing and launching control systems that power custom industrial machines used around the world—in industries ranging from rail and mining to automotive and aerospace.
This is a fast-paced environment where your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and creativity will have a direct impact on client outcomes and company success.
What You'll Do:
- Design control systems based on client specifications and internal machine concepts
- Select and size components in line with NEC, UL, NFPA, and international standards (CE, CSA, etc.)
- Create layout drawings and electrical schematics using SolidWorks
- Finalize Bill of Materials and coordinate with purchasing and manufacturing
- Assist with machine installation and startup within the factory
- Program PLCs and HMIs using Ladder Logic and/or Structured Text (Mitsubishi-based systems)
- Set up and fine-tune servo motor drives for coordinated motion
- Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting support to clients and field service technicians
- Collaborate closely with mechanical design and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Maintain clear project documentation and timelines
- Explore and implement emerging technologies that can enhance products and processes
What You Bring:
- Proven success in designing and installing industrial control systems
- Solid understanding of control circuits, wiring practices, and global electrical standards
- Proficiency in PLC programming (additional experience with PCs or alternate control systems is a plus)
- Familiarity with SolidWorks
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Project management experience (3–5 years preferred)
- Willingness to travel for client site visits and installation support
- A degree is beneficial but not required—your skills and experience speak volumes
Why You'll Love Working Here:
- Competitive health, dental, vision, and life insurance
- 401(k) retirement plan
- Paid vacation and holidays
- On-the-job training and opportunities to expand your skillset
- A supportive, family-oriented environment that encourages growth and values craftsmanship
Be part of a company that doesn't just build machines—it builds long-term partnerships and careers. Apply today to start your next chapter.
