As a Software Engineer Principal within PNC’s Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion. **PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position**
Knowledge of Foreign Exchange Business is preferred.
Understanding of Foreign Exchange trading including spot trades, forward trades, swaps, and window options.
Understanding of Foreign Exchange operations including payment instructions, nostro banks, and SWIFT.
Familiarity with real-time market data feeds.
Java Programming experience is necessary
Expertise in writing complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers using Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL.
Understanding of indexing and ability to optimize poorly performing Microsoft SQL queries for handling high-volume trading and transaction data.
Knowledge of using Powershell scripts.
Understanding of secure coding practices to prevent vulnerabilities ( i.e. SQL injection, Cross Scripting, etc.)
Understanding of configuring, deploying and optimizing Java web applications on Tomcat.
Knowledge of WAR file deployment.
Knowledge in REST API, SOAP API, and Web Services
Experience integrating with external systems.
Knowledge of messaging systems like MQ/Active MQ.
Understanding of Linux permissions and Window NTFS permissions.
Ability to manage and troubleshoot applications and existing code across both Linux and Windows environments.
Familiarity with GIT, uDeploy, Jira, BigPanda, Dynatrace, S/Now
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across application layers – Frontend, Backend, Server, and Database.
Prioritize and complete tasks assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with configuring system redundancy and failover readiness. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.

Base Salary: $65,000.00 – $144,000.00 Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.Application Window
