About Sellers Dorsey

Sellers Dorsey is a healthcare impact strategy firm focused on improving care access, quality, and outcomes for our nation’s most vulnerable populations. We work with providers, managed care organizations, state entities, and others, to design, implement, fund, and optimize sustainable programs that deliver maximum impact to underserved communities. Built on decades of experience in Medicaid, our team includes former state Medicaid directors, healthcare policy experts, health plan execs, and hospital leaders who know how to navigate the complexities of the system and find creative, impactful solutions that drive the greatest impact for the individuals and communities that need it most.

About the Role

Sellers Dorsey is seeking a Marketing Content Specialist/ Writer to join our fast-growing firm and work with our Marketing team based in Philadelphia (EST work hours). As the Marketing Content Specialist, you will support Marketing Communications in developing and delivering a range of content, creating high-visibility assets that attract new leads and engage current customers. These may include (but are not limited to) thought leadership copy (blogs, team profiles, video scripts), social media posts, newsletter copy, email marketing, conference collateral copy, advertising copy, internal and external case studies, and sales enablement tools. This position requires an eye for detail, the ability to write new content, and the ability to polish existing content into a compelling final asset.

You should be able to write quickly and clearly, manage multiple project deadlines, and hone content to create compelling “one voice” documents. You will help to create and populate drafts and provide copyediting support as needed.

  • Support copy development for internal and external marketing communications and campaigns, including but not limited to social media, newsletters, thought leadership, email, advertising (digital and print), conferences, and case studies.
  • Help develop 1-pagers and other sales enablement tools to help open doors to new leads and future conversations, both internally and externally.
  • Interview client servicing teams and subject matter experts to garner insights to draft, review, revise, and complete compelling pieces of content that position Sellers Dorsey as a creative problem solver in the minds of decision makers across the country.
  • Participate in strategic planning to ensure content aligns with the firm’s business priorities and planned campaign activities.
  • Support the development of multimedia content, including video interviews, bringing together appropriate voices to address timely subject matter.
  • Collaborate with design experts to deliver a professional finished product.
  • Become well-versed in emerging concepts and dominant themes to ensure messaging is fresh and relevant to external audiences.
  • Educate others about the availability of content that promotes the organization and encourage their participation in distribution.
  • Contribute to other content-related activities, serving as a QC check for others, drafting, copyediting, formatting, and providing production assistance as needed.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or a similar field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant professional experience

Core Behaviors and Competencies

  • Collaborative – capable of understanding the needs of colleagues and working with them to accomplish objectives.
  • Articulate – Able to use various modes of communication to educate others about requirements, process, and procedures, as well as explain one's own creative ideas and solutions.
  • Solution-Oriented – Interested in finding creative and practical ways of solving systemic challenges as well as day-to-day issues.
  • Growth Motivated – inspired by opportunities to support colleagues in efforts to expand the firm’s presence in the marketplace and our potential to positively impact businesses and lives.
  • Relationship Oriented – Understands the necessity to establish mutually beneficial creative relationships with coworkers with both complementary and competing priorities.
